Where each number comes from and how much to trust it.
What this is
The current minimum wage for every U.S. state, every city and county with its own ordinance, and the federal floor, with tipped, youth, and tiered rates, every scheduled increase, and the source for each figure.
How the data is produced
Each jurisdiction was researched against its own official page (state labor agency, city ordinance, or statute) with a second corroborating source, under a rule of null rather than guess. Every source URL is then checked live before publishing; dead links are dropped. Where a researcher could not confirm something, the page says so in a "what we could not confirm" box. Indexed jurisdictions show the effective date of their next adjustment and add the amount only when the agency announces it; nothing on this site is an estimate.
When a state, city, and the federal rate all apply, the highest governs. Maps and rankings use that governing rate; state pages also show the state-law figure where it is lower than the federal floor.

Not legal advice, and not a substitute for the notice your agency requires you to post. Confirm with the linked agency before acting, especially close to an effective date.
